TMS delivers magnetic stimulation to the brain. During treatment, a small magnetic coil is placed against your head. Rapid magnetic pulses stimulate the targeted area of your brain. This helps boost brain activity in the area where low brain activity is responsible for depression.
You will speak with a Treatment Coordination Specialist who will ask questions to make sure TMS is a potential fit for you and will answer any questions you may have.
You will have a 60-90 minute appointment with a psychiatrist specializing in TMS to determine whether you meet criteria for TMS treatment.
We will work with your insurance company to get your TMS treatment covered. This can take up to two weeks, but we can often get an answer for you sooner.
At your first appointment we will determine your correct treatment location and complete your first full TMS treatment session.
You will receive daily TMS treatments Monday through Friday for anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks, depending on your needs and insurance.
If you and your doctor agree that you need additional treatment sessions, we can request authorization for those sessions from your insurance company.
Refer a patient, friend, or make the decision for yourself to feel better. Contact us today to set up an initial free consultation with an Intake Coordinator.
